The SmartPTT-based radio communications system for emergency services ensures reliable communications between the dispatcher and the teams. For emergency dispatch services speed of reaction to a call is the most important factor affecting a favorable outcome. In this respect a professional mobile radio communication is a vital tool of the work of the emergency services.
Use of SmartPTT-based radio communications allows resolution of the majority of operational voice communication problems for emergency medical services:
At the same time the construction of a SmartPTT software-based communications system for ambulance services makes the work of dispatchers and all mobile personnel significantly more effective and successful. The visual display on the dispatcher’s monitor of all teams being managed and communication sessions:
Each ambulance team is equipped with a mobile radio station which is used to take calls from the dispatcher. If necessary the team can have at its disposal a portable radio station for the doctor sent to the call to communicate with the dispatcher or with the ambulance driver, which may be necessary in the event of a dangerous situation occurring.
The ambulance teams communicate with the dispatcher via repeaters set up so as to provide the necessary area of radio coverage. The number of repeaters depends on the size of the territory (town or city). The repeaters are interlinked either via the Internet or via dedicated communication channels.
Dispatch consoles are set up both at the central first-aid station and at substations. Dispatchers can communicate both with all system subscribers and with subscribers located in the radio coverage area of the nearest repeater. All controllers are interconnected in conference mode by means of a SmartPTT dispatch console.
Using additional radio servers and control (stationary) radio stations, a link can be provided to ambulance teams on the road in remote areas where it is not efficient to install repeaters.
Thanks to the ability to connect radio stations in analogue operating mode to a radio server, dispatcher interaction can be ensured with subscribers using analogue equipment.
